Hello! My name is Mark… welcome to our accessible session, are we still ‘glowing’? In this session we’re going to explore how God’s Holy Spirit gives us the power to glow!
Reading: Acts 2: 42-47 (I’m reading from the ‘Accessible Edition’ NT)
The believers all had God’s Holy Spirit in them, and he helped them to be together, to help and support each other. How are you being helped and supported at this difficult time? Do you have people that help you? How do you feel about them? Are you able to help and support someone else? How does that make you feel? Does it make you glow?
The believers’ hearts were glad and faithful, and they praised God together. That’s a great thing to do; do you love to praise God along with others? With God’s Holy Spirit in us we can be like the believers in the story too. We have the power to glow, showing those we live with and people that we meet how much we love God! Are you glowing for God?
Being together might be hard at the moment, but God’s Holy Spirit still gives us the power to glow among the people we live with, and even with the people we might see online or speak with on the ‘phone. How are you going to glow powerfully for God today?
Prayer: Lord, help us to glow for you in everything that we do and with everyone we meet today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
